SPIELBERG'S FILMMAKING REALITY SERIES COMPETITION
ON THE LOT, executive-produced by Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg, will give aspiring filmmakers from around the world the chance to earn a $1-million development deal at DreamWorks. Airing next spring on FOX, this unscripted series will feature a cast of 16 undiscovered filmmakers who will compete to win the support of the show’s viewers, as their fate will be decided by a weekly audience vote. http://www.thelot.com/

The 48 Hour Film Project is looking to expand to new cities.
That includes your hometown and cities halfway across the world. But in order to start the 48HFP in a city, we need to find a Local Producer in that city. Our Local Producers are our people on the ground. They get the word out to teams, reserve the theaters, run the kickoff and dropoff, find judges, and manage the screenings. They have to be well-organized and good communicators. And they have to love the 48HFP as much as we do! Does this sound like someone you know? Do they live in one of the cities to the right or in any city that we do not currently visit? If so, have them send a resume and cover letter to newcities@48hourfilm.com. Thanks! Also, visit their web site: www.48hourfilm.com

ON-GOING BUSINESS
Joe Lala will be conducting these on-going workshops for actors at all levels. Joe recently stepped off set from El Cantante, with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. He has worked alongside actors such as Wesley Snipes, Robert Redford, Andy Garcia, Steven Seagal, and others. He takes his actors through exercises, scene study, and monologues, but most importantly he helps with the auditioning process. Along with acting, Joe Lala also conducts voice over, and musical lessons as well as privates. Workshops are Monday nights at the Italian Club, 6:30 and the cost is only $30 a class. (You can purchase discount packages, and receive free lessons, ask how!) Class size is limited, so please contact Krystal Marie Badia for your spot as soon as possible. kmbadia@gmail.com or call 727-858-7570 or 813-874-1230

Josh Goldman - begin Principle Photography by December, they are still looking for our 2 main female characters and are also now looking for locations. We need either a house or apartment that is at least 3 bedrooms, possibly having a decent sized in-ground pool, or just access to a good sized in-ground pool with some decent deck space, and a pool hall/bar. We are also about to purchase some A/V equipment and would like to hear some suggestions on camera and audio equipment preferences. Contact Info: crappyproductions@gmail.com

Michele Young – CASTING CALL: The no-budget, comedic feature, AniMania is holding auditions Saturday from Noon – 5pm in the Johnson Room of the Wyndham Hotel on Kennedy & Westshore Blvd. Filming takes place around the Tampa Bay Area, primarily on weekends, from October 15th through March. Several supporting roles are still available for Acts 2 & 3 and numerous female & male extras from 6yo to 86yo are needed. Contact Michele for a synopsis, character breakdown and appointment time. Callbacks, if needed, will be the following day, Sunday, Oct. 1st, Noon to 5pm. Contact Info: Michele Young 813-956-1186, micheleyoung@mac.com

Thao Nguyen - I'm a USF student and I made a comedy some time back for an electronic class. I'm kind of interested in remaking the movie to possibly send it out to a few contests. The attention that I have gained from the project has only been positive, and I'd figure if I could attract even more interest in the project. This could be a great chance for anyone involved, to showcase his or her talents and skill. The comedy (this was a short that I did in two weeks so its not as refined as I’d liked) is called "21 Anxieties till I kill myself." If I do actually remake this, I'd like to get actual actors, soundtrack, and maybe a more refined story, with the same concept. The movie can be seen on You Tube @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAmdPpocFbs. Contact Info: Thao Nguyen healsienif@gmail.com
